Hey everybody,

My first post (woo!). My lady friend and I are planning on picking up Florida Resident Dream Passes (4 parks, 4 days). We're going to get the Park Hopper option, since it's only $25 more. We're planning on using our first day on Valentine's Day (cause what's more romantic than Disney, right?). I'm considering starting at MK when it opens...and closing out our day at Epcot (and a World Showcase dinner somewhere) but I'm trying to plan the in between.

So a couple questions:
1) I'm a Disney vet...although I haven't been in maybe 2 years. She's been, but it's been a long time. Anything new that we should make sure to see? There are a lot of attractions I love that I wanna make sure she gets to experience (she's never been on the Tower of Terror!), but it'd be cool if I could get that first time excitement with her.
2) Any particularly cute/romantic things for a couple to do?
3) Are there any special events that go on during Valentine's Day?
4) What's the best way to make a reservation for dinner? And when should I do it? I imagine there will be a lot of dinner reservations for Valentine's day.

Of course...we'll have 3 other days after this one, so this first day might be more about spending quality time together than hitting all the attractions.

Anyways...gimme some feedback!

Be prepared for very heavy crowds that weekend. It is President's day weekend plus Mardi Gras begins too. Lots of schools in the Northeast are off that week. MK will be very busy that day! So hopping to Epcot is a good plan. Unfortunately you may have trouble getting dinner reservations since most people made their reservations a few months ago. If you go to the www.disneyworld.com website you can check and book dining reservations right on their website.
Good luck and like I said be prepared for heavy crowds! We go every year during that week and it's very busy!

The best way to make a reservation at a WDW resort or theme park restaurant is to call 407 wdw dine and make an "ADR" for the restaurant of your choice. And do it NOW. You will have to be very flexible at this point as the day is almost on us.

I don't know of any Valentine specific special things that go on at WDW.

Can't help you too much with "cute things to do" as I'm guessing that what I find romantic, you'd not. I'm kinda' used to that! LOL.

A Specialty Cruise might be nice...

Thanks for the responses! I better get on that reservation haha.

What does ADR stand for?

Haha! Hit me! I'm open to all suggestions!

ADR is the acronym for what WDW calls "reservations."

Well, the aforementioned specialty cruise. By that I mean a pontoon or other boat rented (with a mandatory captain) for your private use so that you can view Wishes or Illuminations from the water.

If you really want to wow your Valentine, rent the yacht, the Grand. Incredible experience.

Ummm... we really enjoyed the segway tour of Epcot! LOL. I TOLD you my idea of romance wouldn't do much for you. LOL.

There are other behind the scenes tours, or special activities. You can rent a little watercraft (from one of those tiny water mice through a pontoon boat) and "cruise" the waterways of Disney. The waterways will be dependent upon where you rent the watercraft.

Rent a surrey bike?

Ummmm... anything sounding good yet? LOL.

The specialty cruise sounds like a great idea. I'll look into that.

Also...the segway tour really does sound like a nice experience haha.

I definitely should've planned this months ago. But I just thought of the Disney idea, so I gotta week to make some magic happen (pun very much intended)!!!
