Went to the parks today with my almost 3-year-old and a friend and her two boys under 3. We had the best day! The crowds were fantastic, at least while we were there (9am-4pm). The first thing we did was stop at the Candy Palace to buy a treat for later. The CM who helped us was so sweet! She walked around the counter after our sale and gave my son a handmade valentine (we were the only people in there!). Then we went over to Jolly Holiday because I heard they might have some special macarons for Valentine's Day. As it turns out, macarons don't come out until closer to lunch time, so she told me to come back later, which we did and the adorable conversation heart macarons did not disappoint! They were HUGE and adorable! I bought one to take home to hubby. He let me have half (did I mention they were huge?!). Delicious! We also picked up a pink frosted Matterhorn macaroon, which was my first time having a Matterhorn macaroon. OMG. Those things are amazing! And huge! I was a happy camper. After our treat excursions, we rode Nemo submarines and Pirates as walk-ons, plus the carousel, Mr. Toad and Peter Pan (!) all before 11:00. We got lucky on Peter Pan, walked by around 10:30 and the line looked shorter than usual so we hopped in line and it was 30 minutes. Not bad for Peter Pan. I also had a fan moment when I saw one of the Magic Kingdom Mommies in line in front of us on Peter Pan. I so wanted to tell her how much we enjoy their Instagram and blog, but I chickened out lol.
Later, we hit DCA where we wandered around Carsland, rode Little Mermaid, watched the Mulan Lunar New Year procession, and went to Turtle Talk With Crush and the Disney Junior Dance Party. My friends 2.5 year old had the best time! He's never been to Disney before and his little face was so precious all day!
In addition to the Valentine's Day treats, I saw some Photopass photographers on Main Street and Buena Vista street with photo frames for people to take cute Valentine's Day photos. I also saw lots of guests dressed up very dapper for Valentine's Day on dates. It was such a fun day!
