Hi
2 days to go.. and we are looking forward to a nice break. I ws going to say rest but I am not sure how restful it will actually be.
Someone suggested to me that it would pay dividends to get a train to Val d'europe and eat there in the evenings as there is more choice and it is about half the price of eating in the full service restaurants in DLP.

1. "Hslf the price" - anyone like to comment on that
2. How often do the trains leave and return
3. How much is a ticket
4. What is the journey time
5. Also how much is the ticket to paris

thanks a lot.
This forum has been a great help in planning

There is an area in Val D'Europe called the terraces that has a selection of restaurants. We only tried the chinese - which was so-so.
I think the prices were less but not as much as half-price. It is a very nice place to go to and is very nicely set out especially the outside courtyard.
The train only takes minutes and was less than 2€ per person

If you want Chinese in Val'd Europe... go right under/slightly behind the Elysee... Wontons (dumplings) to die for, and a meal in themselves!

We are planning to try more of the V'dE food places when we go in August.

Along the street by the train station or up towards the road that leads to Disney?
thanks

\Along the street by the train station... The little tables outside are directly across the street from the doors to the trains... It is butted up against the back of the Elysee. The dumplings (fried wontons) are to DIE for... and if the weather is nice, sitting outside is a nice treat!

Thanks we have looked at the places there but never actually stopped to eat. Perhaps we will try it this time.

ooooh fabulous!

We are staying at L'Elysee hotel and I *love* chinese dumplings - we had some gorgeous ones in Beijing when we went to china on honeymoon and you can't get them in the UK very often!

Will most definately have to find this place! Does anyone know what its called?

:) Sadie

The first time we went shopping at Val d'Europe, we had our meal at Les Terraces. Since then, we have always gone back to Disney to eat.
I guess that says enough.

Yes, it's a little cheaper, but it wasn't as good.

1. "Half the price" - anyone like to comment on that - It's nnot half price but it is much cheaper. There is a much wider variety (English pub, Chinese, Italian etc...)
2. How often do the trains leave and return - Every 20mins
3. How much is a ticket - €1,40 each way
4. What is the journey time - 2 minutes
5. Also how much is the ticket to paris - If you buy a mobilis (day pass) zones 1-4 it's €14. This lasts all day long and is valid on the RER (regional train) the Metro (Paris Underground) and the local buses in Paris.

may have to try these restaurants! are they just at the bit where you exit the train and turn to your right to go towards the shopping mall, the entrance where the pharmacy is?

i liked the restaurant in the shopping mall that sells baguettes and desserts...much cheaper than dlp, and it tastes like 'proper' food!
