We have a one bedroom and a studio reserved now comes packing, are there any vacuums in either of these rooms so we can use space saver bags?

There are vacuums, but most do not have any attachments for the space bags, most are standard commercial style uprights. There have been a few sporadic reports that a few newer model vacuums have shown up...not with actual attachments, but a hose that can be removed from the brush area and used on the space bags, but I wouldn't count on it to do my packing.

I was trying to find a way around this too. ALtho, be careful, because altho you can get alot more into your suitcase, watch the weight.

Anyhoo...I was thinking of bringing the little inflator that came with the inlatable mattresses we have. The vent side you use to deflate can be used on the bags.

No attachments that I've seen. I use the air compression bags that do not require a vacuum...they may not hold quite as much as the others but they still hold a LOT...and yes, they can get heavy. I only use them for our DIRTY laundry tho 'cuz they smush stuff so badly. For the trip down I use the packing cubes. But using the space saver bags helps give me more room for souvies for the ride home!:thumbsup2
