Vacuum Help!

I have the Dyson Animal. It was the best vaccuum investment I ever made. We have 3 dogs and 4 cats (one of them is long haired). I could spend my life vaccuuming... so much hair, so little time! It works the best out of any vaccuum I've tried. I actually borrowed vaccuums from family and friends to try out in our living room! (I'm nuts, I know... but I wanted to know how different ones actually worked in our home) It doesn't always get everything but it gets more than the others ever did. I can't expect that any vaccuum could get everything... there's just too much hair. Plus my long hair is white and we have a burgundy carpet in the living room/ dining room. My own personal nightmare! My only complaint with the Dyson is the stair attachment doesn't seem to have the suction that the regular vaccuum does.
