Vacuum cleaner recomendations

I have the Dyson Animal but it does not pick up like I think it should. I had small tinsel type things on the rug and it would not pick them up. I find it happens with other things as well.

I am looking for a vacuum that will do both rugs and bare floors and pick up dog hair.

Have you cleaned the filters recently? I find it loses some suction when the filters need cleaning.

We have a Shark Navigator. We love her so much that we named her Laverne.

Does carpets and hardwoods/tile. Love that thing.

I was having the same problem with my Dyson Animal. Then I realized that the elbow at the base of the hose was clogged. The piece that was clogged was really easy to access and once I un-clogged it, my vacuum worked like it was brand new.

We bought a Rainbow refurbished about 8 years ago. Still works as well as when we bought it, LOVE that thing!

Love my Shark vacuum a lot! Great on carpet and wood/tile/linoleum floors, and with the attachments it does a wonderful job of getting the cat hair off the back of the couch where she likes to sleep. And so easy to clean too.

I love my animal!
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats (inherited my father in laws long hair cat when he passed away 7 months ago.) This cat sheds like nobody's business. I vacuum almost everyday as long as I empty it regularly it works great.
