I'm packing and I am useing the airtight plastic bags that you need to use a vaccum for. Therefore I need a vac that has a hose. Does the BCV have a vac with a hose? Help before I finish packing LOLOLOL!! Thank You.

They do, but they are upright vacuums. Not sure if they have an attachment that would work with your space saver bags.

The ones we have had did not have the hose. We have a small rechargeable air pump that allows you to blow air into or pull it out of something that we have taken for our air beds that would work for the bags. Be careful using the bags that you don't go over the weight limit on your luggage. I used them when we did an Alaska cruise this past May to compress the fleece items and they worked great spacewise but I was really close on the weight limit.

Whenever this question has come up in the past the answer is "no, the DVC vacs will not work with spacesaver bags."

SpaceSaver actually makes a product for travelers. Instead of using a vacuum cleaner to suck out the air, you simply roll them up to squeeze out the air. Then you unroll them and they're compressed. (I don't know if this same technique would work with the regular bags.)

One thing to keep in mind with SpaceSaver bags, though, is weight. It's very easy to exceed the 50 lb limit with a suitcase normally. If you're compressing the stuff even further, you could wind up with a very expensive suitcase. The overweight fees airlines are charging now are awful.
