Please don't turn this thread into a debate on whether or not to vaccinate.
Has anyone vaccinated their child on a schedule different than the state "recommended" 3 or 4 shots per visit? We have been researching and wish to space out Mason's vaccinations (but still have him fully vaxed). Dr. Sears has a spaced out schedule in his Vaccination book that suggests getting Measles, Mumps and Rubella as 3 separate shots spaced out over a couple of years instead of the bundled MMR at 12 months.
Our Pediatrician has been very critical of any questions we have had and basically told us that both Dr. Sears (father and son) and their books were "a bunch of nonsense". Our (soon to be ex) Ped also told us that in the US that they didn't have access to these "separate" shots and could ONLY administer the MMR.
I can't seem to find any information about this - does anyone know for sure if these shots can be administered separately?

I'll be sure to check those forums as well. I'd be happy for a Pediatrician that would at least discuss the issues with us without immediately jumping on the defensive.
