We've got beaches covered
My kids need to see the following:
- mountains (Barbados only has hills) - maybe on the train that goes through the Canadian Rockies (no trains in Barbados either)
- winter with skiing, a lodge with a fireplace, sleigh rides - maybe Christmas somewhere far north
- fall in a National Park somewhere in North America, with sightseeing
- European tour to get a feel for the difference in culture, architecture etc. - but if we don't make it there, Quebec City will do
- they need to also see some of our Caribbean neighbours - we're thinking Dominica because of the mountains, emphasis on nature, waterfalls etc. Dominica is so close yet so different! The Grenadines are also lovely unspoilt islands nearby - nice to take a boat down and chill
Australia, New Zealand, far East etc. are nice dreams, but neither DH nor I could stand to be on a plane for so long, so we'll likely never make it out there.
