Our trip started out of Friday May 6th. The cast was DW(me), DH(Grumpy), DD age 6, and mother in law (Godsend).

We flew southwest which I got because of reading the DIS transportation board $98 Roundtrip from Pittsburgh (nonstop). What a sweet way to start a vacation. However, Grumpy is afraid to fly and it was very hard for him but everyone got on the plane and no one deplaned until Orlando. So far so good!!!

We spent the first two days at Universal, staying onsite at Royal Pacific Hotel. It was OK but had the amusment park feel not the Disney feel. We were ready to leave by 2pm Saturday and head for Disney!!!!!

Arrived at All Star Sports for Saturday night. I had a box of supplies delivered UPS and it went off without a hitch.Another DIS planning tip!. We were in the Baseball hotel and did get lost on the way and ended up in All Star Music which Grumpy blamed on me the navigator. I quickly gave up that title. We decided to swim first and then headed to the Magic Kingdom for a preview evening. I was expecting huge crowds for a Saturday night at the MK but was pleasantly surprised with moderate crowds. Once I got to the MK, I knew this was going to be the best vacation ever! This is the first trip to WDW for the rest of the cast. I had been there twice as a child. We were able to do Buzz, Philarmagic, Haunted Mansion, Splash, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad twice (it was great in the dark). Grumpy even smiled a few times. My dd was a little afraid of the haunted mansion and splash but was very proud of herself once she had conquered her fears. I had posted about her being an only child and being afraid that she would miss out but the DISers were right again. She loved being with us, the only place that I could have used a friend was the pool.

To be continued.... :earboy2:

Glad to hear your DD made out ok. I was one of those who replied to your posts.
