vacationing with family

a few questions here. me and dh are taking my sister and her husband and kids to disney (their first time). they are staying with us at our dvc. (they did link their disney accounts to mine.) here are my questions:

1. i understand i have to make the dining reservations because the trip is under my name-- i dont plan on doing every meal with them, soo...do i make these reservations for them and do i need to do this under my credit card? can they make them themselves? can i make the ressie with their cc separately? do they need to purchase the dining plan before i make their ressies?

2. how do they get there magic bands? do they need to purchase their park tix first?

3. luggage tags???

is there anything else i should know?? TIA

1 - if their MDE is linked to yours, they should be able to make dining res themselves. It'll show up on yours as "reservation made by:NAME".
2 - Our MB have always shipped to only 1 address, even when I put different addresses on the reservation.
3 - Same as #2. I'm sure if you call, they can send tags to a second address.


I suggest you make reservations for the FULL party unless you know they aren't eating with you. It's easy to reduce people, very hard to add people to a reservation.

They must have valid tickets attached in MDE before any FP+ reservations can be made.

Anyone can make ADRs whether staying onsite or not, so if they won't be eating with you they can make their own using their own CC to guarantee them. Not sure about having to buy dining plan first but I don't think you do.

You would all have to buy the dining plan if you are stayin together in one room
