Has anyone stayed here, they have one on skyauction and I'm just wondering if it's any good. Another question, they have an arrival date of the 8th of October, but we wouldn't be arriving until the 9th, does anyone know if they do that kind of thing? Thanks!!

just make sure it is for the A side ....( full kitchen )

as long as you let them know you will be arriving late, there should not be a problem....they have a large building just behind the Nike store where they check people in .....think it is manned most of the time

are you getting a RSG auction???

it's just a regular auction. Is this resort on there often or is it rare to find one on skyauction regular auction? Thanks!

Do they have transportation to the parks? Is it free or is there a fee? Thanks again!

they have been on the RSG in the past and still are now ....also the occasional "straight out" auction ( this resorts seems to have a lot of inventory but rarely do you see 2 bedrooms offered, they split the unit in two ...A side ...full kitchen and B side partial kitchen )

paying any more than 260$ total would be over costing this place especially when you used to be able to get a 2 bedroom here for that amount ( now they have split the units in to two ONE bedroom units ....each being "rented" out

they do offer you the chance to take the tour usually......they offer you 50$ or so the first day, but if you can stave them off for a couple of days without biting on their "initial offer" .....they usually come back with a much better tour offer later in the week....they want to try and sell you some timeshare while they have a captive audience

of course, for those paying the developer prices, they are over priced to cover the costs of putting people through the presentation, which they say costs them about 400$ or so for each couple.....someone told us that approximately 10% might buy from the developer with the percentages being different during different seasons, thus the 10% represents and average

was not aware of any "transportation" to parks offered by the resort but that does not mean they do not help guests with this request.....just know they do not have their own "vehicles" offering this perk

Here is a thread from a while ago where I posted pictures.

They do not have any type of transportation to the parks, you will have to rent a car, or take a bus on 192.
Just let them know if you are arriving late or checking out early, it is not a problem.

What is a RSG auction? Are they also purchased through Sky Auction? What is the difference?

I have won a "getaway week" and Parkway Village is available for the week we would like to go.

One more question, in the auction, it's saying that for addt'l $50, I could upgrade to the full kitchen which I'm assuming is on the "A" side, if I do this am I guaranteed the "A" side? Thanks again, and the pics were helpful.

On the get a way win, do you have to pay the $195 that they charge on a straight out 7 night stay? I am trying to figure our these new get a away deals. I like the regular ones, but they seem very hard to come by ..either at Vacation Villages or Vistana... not that these are bad places by no means, but I wanted Silver Lake because it is super close to Disney ;)

getaway weeks are bookable using certificates that you purchase for bid price plus the processing fee ....nothing else is added...you then go to the getawayweeks website to see what is available and then you have to call

the RSG auctions are bid price +195 + processing fee
with RSG they have a similar search engine for looking at inventory, but with RSG you can actually place a HOLD on the property you want to get if you win the auction

as most have noted the inventory is nay as good as it was last year ...silver lake does not appear only occasionally

Thanks -

I called and there is no transportation offered by the resort. However, they said that Public transportation is near by, and convenient. We are driving there, but I was thinking that some days we might want to split up.

Well, I just checked on the Lynx (the Orlando public bus system) website. It seems the closest bus stop to the VV@P is on 192, near the intersection of 192 and Parkway Blvd. IMHO, that isn't very convenient, because you'd have to walk down Parkway to get to the resort...just my opinion though. Don't know...is there even a sidewalk that runs out to 192?

I think there is a sidewalk.. and really the walk is not that far. If you did not have a car, you could walk easily to the bus stop, it's very close. Last time we were there we saw people getting off of the lynx with luggage. it would be cheap transportation.

The resort did say they would provide transportation to the Bus stop. Not sure, how you would get transportation from the bus stop. That is when I would need it! They seemed very nice on the phone.

Did you know how early/late Lynx runs?

Lynx has a site where you can get the time schedule. Also, I saw people getting off the lynx bus right there on the corner of Pkwy and 192 and it was pouring down raining. So keep that in mind if you have young ones or elderly in your party.

I found that web site, but when I put in the address nothing comes back.

The street address is: 2949 Arabian Nights Blvd.
Kissimmee, FL 34747

I haven't used the site in years but try pulling up the maps to see exactly where the bus stop is. Maybe nothing is coming up with that address because that is the address for the resort and the bus does not go to the resort. You can email them if you need assistance.

The address I found for VV@P is 3013 Parkway Blvd., Kissimmee. If you plug in that address on the trip planner portion of the Lynx site, it will tell you what bus stop is closest...and you can also click to see it on a map. Perhaps you could post on the Transportation Board if you need further help with the Lynx bus system--there are probably experts on that board that know more about it. :)
