That's a neat idea. I would simplify it and just leave one loose ice cube out or in a little plastic cup. That way the melting ice wouldn't mess up anything.Tara said:turn one ice tray upside down in your freezer. This way if you have a power outage that is long enough to have the ice melt, you'll know, even if the power comes back on and refreezes everything!
Of course, if there was a majorly long power outage I'd probably know by the dead fish in my tank when I got home.
