Vacation Spots

Where do you go on vacation aside from Disney World? We are thinking of a vacation for next year and we have a 2 year old (who will be 3 in Nov). What are your favorite vacation spots that are kid friendly?

Every year in June, we go for a week to Lake George, New York! We love it there! We have a 3, 5, 13 and 17 year old who go with us every time and they love it...we usually spend one day at Six Flags Great Escape, which the kids love...they also have a Drive In, which we do each time...there is alot of stuff to do on the lake, they have a public swimming area, although the kids love the hotel pool more! LOL

I look forward to it each year and can't wait to go again!

We are taking our first non-Disney trip in 3 years to Washington DC next month. Probably not what yo would have in mind for a three year old, though. The funny thing is, though i know it will be an awesome experience for all of us, I still find myself wanting to plan more for our next two trips to WDW (summer and next Christmas) than this one!

Anywhere with a beach...we love to just go to the beach for a week, hang out building sand castles, collecting shells, swimming. Most have boardwalks and such where you can go at night and ride the merry-go-round, play skee-ball, people watch.

Our son was very easy going at that age. He enjoyed Eureka Springs in the Arkansas Ozarks and San Antonio (particularly Sea World and the zoo). And I don't know where you're located but have you thought about California? We had a great time last year in San Diego and of course, Disneyland.

You could come to Cape Cod!

There are lots of family type things to do here and the beaches and restaurants are great.

I love anywhere in New England with a stopover in Boston for some city life -- New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont........Cape Cod is ok, but the traffic gets to me.
