OK - I LOVE Award Pool Homes (very reliable company - homes are always as represented - great prices) and the locations are fine, but I'm curious if anyone knows of any rental homes (9 nights) in Celebration.

We drove through there last time we were in Orlando and thought it was a really neat community! I'd love the chance to stay there.
Thought I'd check before we put the deposit down with Award.

Thanks!
Robin

here are some on VRBO

be sure to get them to send you an address - so you can check to see that it is in Celebration.

Celebration is a big area - alot is not developed - an awful lot. So despite I do love them Celebration World resort try to claim that they are next door. Next door to the property line - yes. Not enough close to the entrance/exit of Celebration.

others might be trying this trick....so be carefully!!!

I did want to clarify that I did mean actually IN (Disney's) Celebration.

vbro is a great site, but everything listed under the header of Celebration is not actually IN celebration, but surrounding neighborhoods.

Speaking of surrounding neighborhoods, does anyone have an opinion on Formosa Gardens?

That is what I also have heard there is no short term rentals in Celebration. I would ask for the street they do not have to give you the exact address. Then you can do a maps search. I think the zip is also 34747 but I might be off there. We are near Formosa gardens and that zip is 34747. I think they might be calling the area near celebration the same.
Formosa gardens is a beautiful community very close to AK. Using Sherberth Rd it is less then 3 miles. The homes are a very good quality. I don't think you can go wrong renting there.

There are several nice developments in the Formosa Gardens area, including Rolling Hills, Windsor Palms and Indian Creek.
All within easy reach of disney/I4/restaurants and supermarkets.

Our personal favourite is IC.

Thanks for the info everyone!!

There was a small part of me that figured they didn't do short term rentals there, but it never hurts to ask...

Sorry, but the name "Formosa Gardens" gives me the "heebie-jeebies". Reminds me too much of FORMOSAN TERMITES!....

I'm a bit late to this thread, but it's right that homes on Celebration can't be licensed for short term rentals.

We've stayed on Formosa Gardens many times and, although it's no longer the newest sub-division, it's long held the accolade of being the most prestigious community in the area. That was until the Reunion Resort opened its gates! We stayed there in January and I can't imagine staying anywhere else in the Orlando area for a long time to come. There aren't that many homes available to rent (we rented privately, although you can also book through Reunion itself) and it is a little farther out, but it's a fantastic resort. It has easy access to WDW via the I-4 - it certainly wouldn't take you any longer than from Celebration. It's a totally new concept for the area - you can read my Trip Advisor review here. Also, check out the Reunion Resort website.

I see in your signatures that at least two of you have stayed in Cumbrian Lakes. I have what looks like a great offer for a house there, but was looking more in the FG area as we will be doing WDW every day of our trip. How is the drive to the parks from CL? (compared to WH,FG,ect...) Just wonderin you thoughts... Thanks.

It looks like I'd get everything I want except location and save SEVERAL hundred dollars.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get to WDW from Cumbrian Lakes - I'd expected that it might be an issue having stayed at Formosa Gardens. It is a bit of a trek from Cumbrian Lakes up to the US192 (about 4 miles), but it's a straight road and you don't have to contend with the 192 at all - once you hit it, you just cross it and then take a left onto Osceola Parkway (which, if you don't know is the road which runs along the bottom of WDW property). I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if I found the right property. Well, except that I only want to stay at Reunion! ;)

D'oh! Just read your signature. Of course you know where Osceola Parkway is!

If the home has what you want, you don't mind the drive and you are saving loads of money it must be the house for you.
FYI Osceola parkway is worth the 1.50 they charge it is a little known secret so don't let it out. LOL

Why don't you look into staying at the celebration hotel. It's right in town so you can get the real feel of what it's like to live there----Trust me, once you visit..you'll never leave. I love living there! Oh...and FYI--Disney doesn't own any of Celebration anymore..it was sold a couple years ago.

We'll be staying at the Celebration Hotel for one night ahead of our cruise (in under 6 weeks' time!). I can't wait - I've been looking for an excuse to stay there for ages and I've stayed at the Kessler Collection hotel in Savannah (Mansion on Forsyth Park) which was amazing.
