Vacation Rental by Owners Help...

We're planing our trip to DCL for next month 08/08 for 11 or 14 ppl. Yes, that's many..........

I search online and see a few home for rent called Vacation Rental by Owners. Does anyone use this already?

Please let us know if you have good/bad experiences with this. And any recommendation????

I have used it in San Diego for the last three years and have never had a problem. I've gotten a different place each time and been pleased.

We used that site for our trip to Anaheim in March. The house was great, but on our next trip we stayed at the HoJo, and I definitely preferred being able to just walk over to the park.

We stay in South Mission Beach. This is the 4th year my sisters and their families have rented places.

I have used them for Redondo Beach & Port Hueneme. Was recommended to vrbo who uses it for Mexico every year. Used it with no problems so far.

I use VRBO all the time. It's a great site, and I've always liked the homes I've stayed in.

Be aware that you're dealing with private owners, though, not the website itself, so there can be varying policies/costs/dependability/quality, etc.

I work in Port Hueneme. Where do you stay? I can't imagine vacationing there, unless you have family in the area.

We stay at surfside. My dh likes to surf & it's about 20 min. from his favorite break. So this summer, we're trying out Port Hueneme. (Can't afford malibu ).
