Got a surprise when I got home today, anybody else receive a Vacation Planner Membership Portfolio. I guess the broke the planner into two books this year.

:cool1:

We received ours and I was surprised by the section that said that if you ask for a room or floor change after assignment there would be an additional charge to guest. Is this new?

That rule has been around for a long time. It can be charged if you go to the room and decide you don't like the location, you can be charged the cleaning fee. It would also be charged if you request a change for location after the first night. There's no charge if you request a change before leaving the front desk.

My package did not include a points chart. Anyone know anything about that?

It was cool the first couple of years now I just wonder how much it costs me to produce such an elaborate book.

We received ours yesterday, too. I wondered about the cost too. I'd rather have the $$ invested in on-line reservation capability.....

We received a Disney Files but no planner. Guess I'll wait and see. I like looking at all the DVC promo materials... hoping the cost of manufacture is shouldered by DVD and not member's dues.

It all still comes from us one way or another in the end. There is a way to look at how the dues are spent but I don't remember how.

Even with modern day printing technology it has to be extremely extremely expensive to shoot it, design it, print it, and mail it to every single DVC owner every year.

I would be much happier with a 3 ring binder and they send us new and replacement pages for any necessary changes. Maybe every 5 or 6 years redo the book. We look at ours for about 15 minutes and it ends up on a shelf never to be opened again.
