Vacation Packages and hotel days during packages

I'm also sitting here waiting to book a room for June. And will have to do the same again on Thursday. It's been a bit of a juggling act with 2 VP's, lots of hotel swapping etc.
Just hope it's worth it when I eventually get there!

Unfortunately I didn't fare so well just now. Didn't manage to snag a Fantasy Springs room only, they were all gone by the time I got it to load.
Have picked the Disneyland hotel instead, as the next day will be day 1 of my VP so a Disneyland park day anyway. Went for the convenience of walking straight out of the hotel and over to the park. No shuttles or Monorail to deal with.

So right now I'm looking like this -

Day 1) Room Only at Ambassador Hotel
Day 2) VP unlimited #1 at Ambassador Hotel
Day 3) Room only at Disneyland hotel
Day 4) VP Unlimited #2 at Fantasy Springs Hotel
Day 5) Waiting to secure a room only at Toy story hotel, book this on Thursday

Phew! Its been a mission for sure!

hi sorry you didn’t get your first choice. I had no issue with Toy Story hotel, exact same room type as my vacation package.

So here is mine…
VP unlimited #1 at fantasy springs
Room only at toy story
VP unlimited #2 at toy story
Waiting as well for Thursday for Toy Story.

I logged in about 4 minutes early. As soon as 11am Japan time hit, everything went slow. I was able to finally select my Toy Story room around 11:03. I think I finished before 11:10. The site was still slow.

Oh and my Toy Story room for the record is the bay view.

Ahhh that's fantastic! So glad you managed to get the hotels you wanted and even the bay view. Hopefully Fuji-san isn't shy that day! I'm Hopefully I'll get the Toy story hotel on Thursday with a bit of luck. And then a bit of a breather before doing it all over again with Universal studios lol

As long as you have the same room category, you can contact reservations on this form to request to remain in the same room. I used the form a few weeks ago for my upcoming stay at the Disneyland Hotel.

I got the toy story hotel as well on the final night. So I pretty much got what I wanted.
Please note that I reserved toy story hotel about 3 hours after the 11am Japan time start, so Toy Story Hotel seems to be pretty easy to get now, although the "partial view" was not available, maybe because it's limited rooms?

I managed to get Toy story for my last night too. I wanted it mostly for the convenience of Disney moving my luggage. Didn't want the hassle of collecting bags from FS then having to go across to the Hilton or somewhere after a long day in the park.

I just saw that Big Thunder Mountain in Tokyo Disneyland and 20,000 Leagues under the Sea in DisneySea are in refurbishment when I am there. There are other refurbishments but those are the big ones.

I’m going to miss Small World, which is one of my all time favorite rides. I seriously considered extending my trip for a few days but it’s probably more realistic to go back some other time.

Ohhhh no really? I'm super sad that we will miss those too. They are big ticket rides and 2000 leagues was one I was excited about.
I guess I know now how all the people going in May feel with Frozen being down for maintenance!
