Vacation Magic Arrived!

Be on the lookout.....The Fall 2001 edition of Vacation Magic arrived yesterday! It looks as if a NEW Member Guidebook will be arriving in the fall to replace the 3 ring binder. Vacation Magic states that each year a new Member Guidebook will be issued to replace the previous years version. We will no longer need to replace pages or add inserts. Sounds good to me! I can't wait to see it!

That's great. I guess they aren't putting VM on-line as they mail it anymore. We just have to wait.

So, any "news" in the VM beyond the Member Book announcement?


Any suggestions on what to do with the yearly Member Books? I just can't ever throw anything DVC away. !!!

I'm to impatient to wait for my VM copy so I thought I would post the following.

Is there any news about BCV opening date, presales etc in the VM??

Here are some other tidbits from VM.....

VM states that the BCV is projected to open in Sept. of 2002. It says that the concrete structure is 65% complete with framing work well under way.

VM also mentions that it will soon have a new look to be uncovered in the Winter 2002 edition.

PamOKW.. I know what you mean about throwing things away...I have a feeling I'll be keeping my 3 ring binder for awhile (since I just joined in April!).

Didn't get my DVC pins either.

And yes, I HAVE chased DVC by email to remind them.

I called MS directly regarding the pins. After my call, I received the pins about 4 weeks later. My tote bag, pins and member cards arrived at one time. We closed on our purchase in May and received our first edition of Vacation Magic in June. When did you close? You may not have been in the system to receive the Summer edition if you had not yet closed. Hope you get your pins and VM soon!

I received my VM yesterday and the news that I liked was that all studios have a toaster along with corkscrew, coffee mugs and something else - I forget. I emailed MS about adding toasters after we returned from BWV last March. Ask and you shall receive - first Dubya's tax cut and now toasters in studios.

We just got back and did NOT have a toaster in the room at BWV.

I never received my summer edition either. I sent MS an email and got a response that it would be taken care of. Anyway, we received our title on Monday, so we should definitely be in the system now. I'm hopeful that our VM will arrive soon.

We didn't receive any pins either. However, we DID receive our tote bags and license plate. I kind of got the feeling from these boards that these extra goodies are sent at the disgression of your guide, not necessarily MS. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

I called MS and told them I did not receive a Pin and they mailed one to me. Give MS a call. They were very nice about it.

We closed around 1st/2nd January 2001.

We have our tote bag, membership cards, Members guide book, and even our DVC lisence plate.

No pins though.

The good news is that earlier this afternoon (My UK afternoon that is) I got an email from DVC. My pins and Vacation Magic are on their way. I hope they arrive before we head out to WDW!

I guess putting toasters in the studios is an ongoing project since you didn't have one. Maybe there will be one the next time that you go.

Last week, no toaster in BWV room 4099 or VERO room 2425, but a call to housekeeping, had one in 5 mins.
