Am I a dope here?

I booked my trip on-line and was really pleased with the price. Well, I was very nervous while booking it, and somewhere along the way I must have forgot to click off the 'vacation insurance' or whatever it is called. I noticed when I got my confirmation in the mail.

What the heck is this anyway? Is it worth $70? Is there any way to cancel it? If I cancel it, will I curse my trip?

I admit--I was happy (estatic, really) with the price I got not even realizing that it was 70 bucks cheaper.

First time poster here! TIA!

Here is the phone number to the insurance company that is used for the FTP, I am not sure if that is what you booked...1-800-826-3899. Just call and ask them all that is covered. I had the insurance in mind, but once I found out that loss of a job was not covered ( I would have to present it as an "unforseen circumstance" and the ins. co. would decide if it was covered or not AFTER the fact:rolleyes: ) I decided against it. I think you may be able to cancel the ins. if you are still 45 days out from your trip, but not sure. Hope this helps.
