Vacation Help!!!!!!!

Hello everyone-

I am planning a Florida vacation for August 2011 [which includes WDW] but my wife wants to include a short stay on a beach in St Pete. I have no idea about St. Pete. We've stayed at a Hampton Inn in Tampa [on the Causeway] back in 2001 but never out in St.Pete. If anyone has any info, I'd love to hear.

I started doing some research but man is it overwhelming .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Back in 2008 I spent a couple nights out at St. Pete before heading inland to Disney.

We stayed at the Beachcomber hotel. It was a nice stay.

What kind of questions did you have about the area? I may be able to provide some information for you.
