I was looking online just now for Insurance geared to time share or point use.

And found this place called Vacation Guard........they say they are a joint company with Nationwide.

Any one ever used or heard of this company??????

No, sorry. I've always gone with TravelGuard when we've used it. (They're the ones DVC sends you the info on with your booking confirmation.)

Are you talking about AIG travel guard? If so they are known worldwide and we always use them!!

No but Disney's AIG is one of the best in the industry. Just read the fine print. For example if your airline has reported bk and our still operating it may not be covered. I think AIG is the most popular and used by most major travel suppliers. No point of paying for travel insurance if it doesn't work.

Thanks but i had to move forward because of some schooling issues and did not realize i had to get AIG the day i "rebooked" becasue i was too close to sail date.........

SOOOOOO

I cannot use AIG!

Be very careful when buying insurance to cover vacations points . I used Global Travel Shield an American Express Company to cover a trip that was points and cash. We had to cancel and they only pay for what you paid in cash. they were very nice and paid for wverthing but the points. I learned the hard way.

Also the Disney plan pays at the rate of 5 dollars per point, way to low based on anyone's math.
