Vacation Condos on the beach...how do I find one?

I REALLY want to go somewhere for spring break this year. With a 7 mo old & 2 active boys I need a condo near/on the beach and a pool. How can I find a place???

Is this going to cost me a fortune????????

Get a "little " more specific about location of this beach.

I know a few places in Destin Fl but that's VERY far away from you.(One place we rent is a 2 bedroom luxury 1400 square foot condo -on the beach-with laundry room and HUGE balcony...for less than $200 a nite)

On St Pete's Beach...only 1 bdrom condos though (Sleep 4 plus baby in crib)

Lovely units...step out onto beautiful stretch of beach...great pool probably cost around $700-800 a week....Haven't checked Spring rates in a while but really clean and quiet building...only 19 apartments.

Just do a search on your favorite search engine for vacation rentals at the location you're interested in. I've done this several times and had great luck with the places I've just picked from viewing their website.

My brother rents his place in Hawaii this way too. He has his own website and he also lists with vacationspot.com - you just choose a location and it will give you choices along with reviews of people who have stayed there. Vacationspot might not have as many choices, but there are reviews etc. which might be helpful.

We rented a house on Ocean Isle beach one year that was wonderful. They also have condos there that our friends rent every summer. It's a small island in the southernmost part of North Carolina (about 45 minutes north of Myrtle Beach, SC). There is a realty company there that will send you a free catalog with prices. 1-800-NCBEACH is the phone number.

It's a very low key island, and the beaches are very clean. A lot of families go there because there isn't really any nightlife without leaving the island.

We also went to Ocean Isle Beach one summer. It was great, very low key and close enough to Myrtle Beach to go out to dinner and close to golf. Loved it and would love to go back.

You can also call the chamber of commerece (sp) of were you want to stay and they will send you info on local rentals and that sort of thing.
