I will be at WDW on 9/26 thru 9/30 - staying at the port orleans and wondering about what to bring to wear for that time of the year - wondering what parks to go to on each day - sunday - monday - tuesday - wed - I have not been to WDW for a long time so this will all be new to me so any plan of attack would be greatly appreciated.

The weather will still be very warm I was last there two years ago from Sept 27-Oct 2 and it was very hot in the 90s every day and sunny...we only had a little rain on one day and that was it. Make sure to bring sunblock and stay hydrated. You shouldn't have too much problems with crowds while you are there. I don't know if you are staying on site or not, but avoid whatever park has early entry each day or just go for the early entry and hop to another park (it will not be as crowded this time of year, but many people stick with one park for the entire day so as far as I know that is the reasoning behind not going to the park that has early entry.) Here is the early entry schedule
Sunday - Magic Kingdom
Monday - Animal Kingdom
Tuesday - Disney-MGM Studios
Wednesday - Epcot
Thursday - Magic Kingdom
Friday - Animal Kingdom
Saturday - Disney-MGM Studios
I hope that helps I'm sure someone else can provide some more detailed info for you. Have a good trip
:)

thanks for the advice - I can use all that i can get. I heard it will not be real crowded because of the time I am going and school being back in so I am hoping to ride as much as I can. And enjoy the pool at our resort too.

I was there the last week of Sept in 2000 and it was freezing. It was colder in Orlando then it was at my home in NJ. I would suggest that you throw a sweatshirt and a pair of sweats or jeans in your bag, just in case. If you don't use them great, but if you get a cold spell you will be thankful. Enjoy your trip!

I have been down here 22 years and do not ever remember freezing in Sept. I doubt very much that you will need a sweatshirt and pants, it is usually hot and still humid at that time of the year....now I have froze in Dec. and Jan though. That Sept. must have been a fluke, but I wonder where I was?

Like everywhere Sept/Oct/Nov weather is crazy...hot one day, cool the next. I would take a pair of shorts w/matching top for every day you plan to be there. If you are cold natured like I am, I would take 1 or 2 pair of jeans and a windbreaker or sweatshirt....just in case a cold snap comes through. Being flexible is the big thing. I'd also take tank tops, short sleeve tops etc that can be mixed and matched. When I was buying for our trip in June I lucked up on a stripped tank top in colors of black, tan, olive green and white...matched 4 pair of shorts!! One time I wore the top w/black shorts, next time w/khaki shorts. I would also take one or two nice short sets in case you are planning to go out to eat somewhere fairly nice. Blue jean shorts go w/everything but try to avoid them and white shorts at the parks w/the water rides--MK & AK. White shorts and pink panties won't work!! :teeth: Also if you think about what to wear in each park I think it'll be easier. When we were in MK I wore my khaki shorts b/c they were a lighter weight fabric and would dry faster. Alot of folks love the nylon shorts for this reason. I also like shorts w/good pockets. I would keep my camera in my pocket or wrapped around my wrist the majority of the time. Good, thick socks, squishy" socks as my DD says, are a must.

Are you staying at French Quarter or Riverside? We stayed at Riverside and LOVED it. However, it is spread out somewhat and can be a little bit of a walk to the bus depots and food court. I'd go back there in a heartbeat!

Good luck and have a wonderful time.

It was probably about in the 60's and all that I had was shorts and sleeveless shirts. I was 5 months pg and ended up getting sick and there wasn't much that I could take. It wasn't one of our better trips. Ended up cancelling our PS for the BBQ because others in our party got sick too. I do remember that dh and dd were able to swim the first day we were there and then they couldn't swim again until the day before we left. We were there for about 6 days. I'm not sure where you were, but I remember that trip like it was yesterday, very uncharacteristic to say the least.

I am sure it was a fluke but I can handle the 60's - 70's and 80's - to me freezing is like 30 or 40 degrees so I think I am set for some good weather and fun times. thanks.
