Yes, you can at the moment choose your seats free of charge 60 days before each flight - so your outbound and return flights will be done on different days.

We're going to be on the VS 75 - which I believe is a Boeing 747... We're a party of 5, where is the best place to try and get seats? Ideally, I'd love for us not to have to share a row with a stranger, but I'm not sure if that's at all possible.

Yes much confusion here caused by this - the 60-day point for our outbound Miami date was yesterday, the 19th.
Anyway it dawned on me about 12:45AM that it was 60 days so I booted up the PC, logged into my booking and found the seat map available. Unfortunately every time I tried to save my selections it just reset, and after about 10 tries I gave up.
After I got up in the morning I tried again and this time I was able to select and save seats - good ones too.
So it looks like the 25th is now off for booking the return, but I'll probably look on that day as well just in case they change the rules again or there is a glitch or something...

Lots of different dates to remember - seat bookings/FP+/Magic Band customisation deadline, and I still need to apply for DD's ESTA as she had a new passport (which came quite quickly surprisingly given all the fuss in the news).
