VA Headphones

My DH has asked me to post these questions.

What are the headphones like?
Do you get them free?
Can we take our own?
Do we need adapters if we do take our own?

Hope some one can help him/me

They are bog standard over the head type - not great quality but they do a job.
They are free but you have to hand them back at the end of the flight.
I originally put that they use a standard socket but now I think of it I am not so sure - I have been on that many different airlines that I find it hard to distinguish between them now

They do have a standard socket so a lot of people use their own
The quality isn't great but they serve a pupose but if you are taking your own to use on holiday anyway you will be able to plug them in

Thanks, we are taking our Ipod's so hopefully those headphones will be ok.

I used my own headphones on VA. Just remember to turn the volume waaaaaay down before putting them on as for some reason it's really loud when you plug your own headphones in!!

You just bought back a memory of me jumping out of my seat on more than one occasion at the volume.

I think that reason might have something to do with the quality of the ones they hand you on the flight.

We found the phones were great for the kids - very adjustable size wise - the kids loved them and asked if they could keep them - the attendant said no problem .... But yes, it is a standard socket.

Im sure I was told once that prisoner's check and re-pack the headphones.

Really? Interesting info. I suppose then the right thing to do is to take the out of their plastic even if you don't use them so the prisoners have something constructive to do.
