I have a dd that will be 6 tomorrow. We bought her a vsmile for her bday. It was a hit with all dd's 3, 6, 7 and 9 yo would not leave it alone. She has the Little Mermaid, Care Bears and the alphabet game that comes with it. The Care Bears is a little below her age level, but the 3 yo loves it. They all seemed to enjoy the Little Mermaid the best followed by the alphabet game. I have played it myself and did find it to be educational and cute. She has extra money for her bday and will probably buy more games. We are now thinking about getting the 3yo one for Christmas so they will quit fighting over it
. The older ones have enjoyed it to the point that they are now asking for a ps2 or gamecube from Santa. Anyone with a child 3 to 6, the Vsmile gets my vote.

Thanks for the information. Santa is bringing my 3 year old DS one for Christmas (along with the Leapster). I'm glad to have a first hand account from someone with a child the same age.
) I would definately lean more toward the leapster if your 5 1/2 yo is mature.
