I was wondering if anyone else has heard about this? And has anyone else booked?

We've just booked our holiday for next year, and had a little leaflet come through the post advertising the Virgin V Room that they will be opening at Gatwick Airport in 2008. It's basically the airport lounge, but is exclusive to Virgin Holidays customers only, and those flying to certain locations only.

Yes, it does cost £15 per adult (£10 per child), but at the moment, with this introductory leaflet thing, those on Frequent Flyer Club can get 10% discount on entry fee. The lounge is open from 3hrs prior to your flight departure, and there is free food and hot/cold non-alcoholic drinks available for the entire time you are in there.

I got a paper airplane through the post with a free pass for 2 as a FVC perk - which is funny as I had al etter a few months ago saying according to their records I was no longer an FVC member...

Me too!! Have you used it yet ??- I haven't rung them yet and as I am expecting them to turn round and tell me I don't qualify, I thought I'd wait til I feel better before getting into yet another 'debate!!' with them!!

We got the leaflet as well but it was offering 4 people free entry. There are 5of us so this will mean that we only have to pay for one of us. We are flying out xmas day next year so that will be a nice treat before we go

Sorry to drag up an old thread - but did you try and book this Vroom??? Its just I've just tried and they said I don't qualify as I booked my holiday too early!!! I really do despair with Virgin sometimes!!!

I haven't tried booking yet amystevekai&bump, so I can't comment, but all the stuff I have says it can be added to an existing booking, or at the time of booking a future holiday. There are no date restrictions, other than your holiday has to be after March 2008 I think it is, because before then it isn't open!

hi, yes I can see nothing that says I don't qualify - although the rep says I booked my holiday too early!!! I have emailled customer relations with my complaint (this is not the only thing that has gone wrong with this holiday) but whether I get a reply is another question!!!
