V&A's - personalised menus

I posted a question on the Restaurants board and got some helpful responses, but I'd like some feedback from you guys too.

Since making a reservation for my brother's 40th, I've learned of the personalised menus. I'm told they're personalised with the individual names of each person in the party. I'm sure the only name I gave when I booked was my own. As it's the actual evening of my brother's birthday, naturally I'm keen that the menu should be personalised with his details.

I'm intending to give them a call, but before I do, I'd like to hear others' experiences.

my husband and i went to V&A last november while on honeymoon.
I can't remember off the top of my head if they personalised the meuns before we sat down or afterwards...... so not much help there! but they definately have both our names on them.
i just want to say that you'll have a wonderful time, the food was amazing and the service was great (well, our victoria wasn't too hot but she was new ..... we ended up with 1 victoria and 2 alberts!)
Definately worth the money for a special occasion.

Debbie - they require all guests names for the Chef's Table at the V&A at the time of booking, but I don't think they do for the general restaurant. Did they ask you to confirm at a later date? It is definitely worth calling them and asking for the personalised menus and do let them know you are celebrating a birthday.

Our menu's were personalised when we arrived. When we made the reservation we gave full names. I would give them a call to let them know your brothers details.

This is where we went to eat for our wedding supper and I'm sure when I booked it they asked if there was a special occasion and they took both our names at that time. I distinctly remember having to spell the names over the phone. They gave us the menus to use for our order, they had our names on them already and then took them away until we were leaving.

This was a lovely restaurant and the food was amazing. We also got a chocolate card which had congratulations for V&A on it and all the ladies in our room were given a red rose.

We had to ring and confirm our booking 72 hours before hand and that is when she took our names for the menus. I would give them a ring and check out what the current policy is as we went last year - but definitely tell them in advance as the menu is a lovely souvenir.

Next problem - when I made the reservation, I thought I'd phoned a dedicated number for V&A's, but I can't find it anywhere now. Or maybe I phoned the WDW-DINE and was given an option to select V&A's.

You do just dial WDW-DINE and then you choose option 1 for V&A and option 2 for all other reservations.
