Hello all you DISers!

Just wondered if anyone has made reservations for the chef's table at Victoria & Albert's lately? What is the process? Is it a diffiuclt reservation to get? I REALLY want to get this reservation for my Birthday, and am not sure of the best way to make this happen. Any help anyone can give me would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
G

The Chef's Table allows only one reservation per night. If you are staying at a Disney Resort you can make your reservations 180 days from your arrival date. If you are not staying at a Disney Resort you can make your reservation 180 days from the date you want to dine.

Call 407-WDW-DINE for reservations. Also, you might want to check the V&A web site at www.victoria-alberts.com for more information

done it but have looked into it. The reservation is very difficult as there is only one party booked at the chef's table each night. You can call 180 days out. In some cases they take names for a waiting list.

Two things to consider

1) The Queen Victoria's Room has a heightened dining experience in a smaller and more intimate room.

2) The chef's table menu can be had in the main dining room if you call ahead.

Neither of these has the access to the kitchen staff which makes the chaef's table meal such an experience.

Thank you to both of you for your replies! I was afraid that if on property guests could book 180 days out plus 10 days to book all their dining on the first day, that the chef's table may already be booked by the date I can call 180 days out. I'll give it my best! I hope I can get any day we are there at this point.

Thanks for your time and answers!

Just got a reservation for the Chef's Table for early February! Very much looking forward to it.

On property can do 180+10 (we did for October).

I think that with the opening of the Queen Victoria Room the clamor for CT has decreased. The additional costs associated with the increased number of courses over the Main Dining Room for both tend to leave the CT more for people who enjoy gourmet cooking themselves and want to see a Five Diamond kitchen in operation as opposed to people just after the better meal.

We did this as well for our upcoming October trip.

We ate at the Chef's table in January 2009 (as a pre wedding treat to ourselves) and getting the reservation was challenging: there was no 180+10 and the phones opened at 7 am EST. It was stressful and out of all the times we tried (we were going to be there for 12 nights), we were only successful once.

This go around it was much more civilized: I called when they opened, they had no availability on the first night I requested and, since we are staying on property, they just booked us for later in the trip. We were surprised actually at how easy it was to get the table.

Agreed. I don't cook but my husband loves to cook - I think we will only eat at V&A's if we can get the Chef's Table. It's just such a fun experience!

Exactly. We actually had no desire to go to V&A's unless we were going to be at the Chef's Table. For us it will be about the whole experience of seeing what is happening along with eating the food. Not that I'm not looking forward to the food, but I'm not sure I would pay that much for just a meal, no matter how good it was. Or maybe I would sometime, but not on this trip.
