We are planning on eating here during our Dec trip (crossing fingures for Chef's Table) and my DH brought up a question. We know that he needs to wear a jacket, but can he take it off when he sits down to eat or does he have to keep it on the entire time? Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but we are not used to eating at restaurants like this since we have three kids and we are sooo excited about having the chance to try V&A (eating a meal without kids  ).

Jackets are required in the dining room; however, if you land the Chef's Table your DH will be be able to remove it once you are seated in the kitchen.

That's what my DH was told when we were there in May 2007 ... it's warm eating in the kitchen and they told him right away once we were seated that he was free to remove his jacket as long as he was in the kitchen. When he left to use the restroom or when we left for the evening the jacket had to be worn.

Good luck with the Chef's Table - it's fabulous! :goodvibes
