Hey ya'll -

We're getting married in January at WDW and want to eat at the chef's table at V&A. We're staying at the GF for our 10 day trip so we have a little bit of flexibility in terms of dates.

I have some questions about the ADR rules so I'm prepared.

1) Does the chef's table participate in the 180+10 rule?
2) If we don't get the chef's table, does the regular dining area at V&A participate in the 180+10 rule?
3) Which 5 days of the week are there chef's table seatings?
4) Can the direct number 407-824-1089 still be called to get ADR's?

Thanls in advance! :worship:

I can't answer all of your questions but,

1. The Chef's Table does not participate in the 180+10 - you have to call on day 180.

2. The dining room does work on the 180+10 rule.

3. I'm not sure what days the CT is open.

4. I called the regular wdw-dine number to get to V&A's. The CT was booked for our trip - but we will be dining in the dining room.

Good Luck.

Do you have a wedding planner for your WDW wedding? You should be able to address these issues to the planner, and perhaps something could be arranged. They at least could find out what days the chef's table is available, if not try to arrange it for you.

Otherwise, you can call Disney dining, follow the voice mail prompts for Victoria and Albert's, and they can tell you which days of the week you can try for the chef's table.

Good luck and happy wedding wishes :) I watched a segment on the Chef's Table on a Travel Channel special and thought it was so neat! I hope you get to experience it!!!

Kristi - That is what I was afraid of. I was originally told that the Chef's table did operate on 180+10 but then after reading posts on this board I started to question that.

I think my strategy will be to call at 180+10 and get ADR's for the regular dining room (plus for our other ADR's) and then call back at the 180 day mark and try for the chef's table. I keep hoping the "but we're getting married at the GF, staying there for 9 nights/10 days, and it's our honeymoon" will get us somewhere.

Yes, we have a planner, and we asked her a few months back if she had any chef's table power. She didn't and just told us to call disney dining when we were at our 180+10 mark.

My DH and I just celebrated our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary in Disney World this past April. We did need to call on the 180 day mark each day of our trip. We had four people calling each morning. My DH and I each had a phone. Then our travel agent and our Platinum Package Planner (say that 5 times fast) both called. We were not fast enough the first three days of our trip. But our Platinum Package Planner came through for us! :) We had our wonderful chef's table experience on Saturday, April 26th. It was worth every penny and was amazing! We were told that the table wasn't available on Friday nights. I really can't tell you the other night that the table is shut down. I'm sure that they will be able to tell you that if you call the regular dining number. You can use that to book the table as well.

Good luck, I hope that you are able to get it one night! :)

Wow...I can't believe with four people calling you weren't fast enough for the first three days! I'm glad it was wonderful! Knock on wood, we get lucky!

I hope that you get it! Start calling at 6:50 am EST and listen for the message to change. Then press 1 for English and 2 for Victoria and Albert's. My DH would literally yell out "Chef's Table" as soon as someone picked up. It goes so fast, it's crazy!

That is just insane! But it also sounds hilarious! DF and I are going to have to come up with a 2 of us calling at once strategy.

Thanks!

So true. I took me 5 days of trying to finally get Chef's Table for our October trip. I suggest to start calling at 180+3 to perfect your timing. Be careful about starting your calls at 6:50 on the real day. If you call 2 seconds too early it doesn't do you any good and it may take you a crucial 30 seconds to get throught the message and get a new call to go through. Also, getting the Chef';s Table is no time for good manners. The very first words out of your mouth when V&A's picks up the phone need to be "Chef's Table on ...". You'll heave plenty of time for pleasantries after the CM has your name recorded for the table. I learned this one the hard way aster hearing "yes the Chef's table is available, no wait... it just got taken by one of the other operators". I'm so excited to finally try it Oct 23rd.:woohoo:

That is an awesome tip (because I would be all patient and pleasant the first time around.

Congrats on getting the chef's table in October!
