Silly question all, but we are doing Chef's Table for our trip in March (it's a surprise for DGF, she thinks we're doing CS that whole day to save DDP credits for Cali Grill, which is true, but mostly a convenient alibi), and as we'll be dressed all spiffy and it's a big event for us, would like some photos. We are still on the fence about Memory Maker, but if there will be photographers to capture us in spiffy glory and dining at the Chef's Table, that would put us over the edge for sure!

So, are there? If not, I'll make sure to have a pocket camera with us and hopefully some of the wait staff can help us out!

There will be no Photopass photographers there for you. I'm not even sure, but I don't know what type of pictures you will be allowed to take, if any at the Chefs Table. I have never been fortunate to land an ADR for it and settled for the QVR instead. I'm sure they will accommodate and get a few of you together though. Congrats though and have a great time, your going to love V&A.

DH and I went for our disneymoon. They do allow photos but no photopass photographers are there. I don't remember if they had any rules of photos of the kitchen but we did take pictures of all our food and the servers were more than happy to take pictures of us. Hope this helps

That's perfect, I will bring our camera with us, that's exactly what I needed to know!

Now to decide on MM or not anyway....

We also did MM. For us it was worth not having to ask people to constantly take pictures of us or only have selfies. We had at least one good picture in each photo set that we saved. But it really depends on how long you're staying in the parks. We are going again next month but did not do MM because we are there for a long weekend.

We've done Chef's Table many times - bring your own camera, take as many pictures of the kitchen action as you want, and the waitstaff are more than happy to take pictures of you.

We are also Chef Table fans ... And the aforementioned info we agree 100% with .... bring your camera and take pictures! The chef's enjoy it, it's pretty darn cool actually ... the hosts and hostesses will always take your picture during and after your excellent night!

Am I the only one worried about such a huge, fancy surprise for your girlfriend? That seems like the type of surprise that ends with someone wearing a new ring. Maybe it's just me, but I'd be worried about expectations.

I seem to be blind to PP photographers, and my DGF and I are both avid photographers and will be taking our own photos. I don't think we'll want that many of us to make MM worth it, but the ride photos sweeten the deal. We are on the fence.

That's perfect for us, the PP would have been a good thing to help sell MM, but we are perfectly fine with this. It sounds like it's fun for everyone involved.

I'm not sure how a question about photographer's went down this path ;) but there is no concern. We have had a very real conversation about expectations and such matters and we both agree it's not the time (and it won't be then). We are both working on careers right now and have milestones we want to hit before we even consider such a thing. She won't be expecting anything of the sort. She's just a big fan of fine dining and cooking and would love to see it in action while having an incredible meal.

We were just at the Chef's Table last week. We were told we were welcome to take as many pictures of our food as we wanted, but to please not take pictures of the kitchen. Maybe this has changed. ?

As others have said, no photopass photographers were present. Our experience was chronicled on DD's Snapchat.

Ahhhhhhh - OK.

I think you might (potentially) not quite get V&A. Pretty sure if a Photopass person tried to walk in? Israel would make him into an Amuse Bouche :).

Now - photos? Whole different story :). Ask - and watch how the STAFF will take care of this for you :). V&A should not even be CLASSIFIED as a "Disney Restaurant" - it's WAY past that :). And you have managed to snag the best of the best :). Kudos :).

Just a suggestion - think in terms of a really GREAT Internationally acclaimed 5 star restaurant - forget that it happens to be housed at WDW :). Ask here what you would of a similar restaurant in Europe. They WILL take care of you :). They likely will NOT admit Paparazzi :).

Oh no, I get it, and my assumption was that there would be no photopass of any sort, doesn't hurt to ask though. I was mostly curious about any weird restrictrions on photography given being near the kitchen.

I am looking forward to being taken care of, and having an incredible meal, and mostly making DGF happy, she's going to love this. The happier she is, the happier I am, and having photos to remember the look on her face will be priceless.

...... We were told we were welcome to take as many pictures of our food as we wanted, but to please not take pictures of the kitchen.......

Actually ? That would make incredible sense to me. V&A's kitchen is their "production facility" - chock FULL of great, proprietary creations :). A shot or two of the kitchen would NOT be a potential information leak, depending on who did the shooting. I could easily see Israel wanting to avoid photos containing that exact moment when a particular ingredient went into a pan, or a series documenting the preparation of a particular dish.

But (just a guess) - I will bet that if you asked a STAFF member to take a couple of photos with your camera? All would be good. The difference? Anything from angle of the photo to timing. Really, EVERYONE on the V&A Staff is far more of a partner in the Restaurant.... "Employee" is almost an insulting term for these folks. Hence? I strongly suspect that if they were in control of such photos, all would be good....

Now - if Gordon Ramsey showed up with a really BIG camera? Yes, I believe Israel would kindly suggest one of HIS folks doing the picture taking :).
