Uzima Springs Pool Bar vs The Mara

I was looking at the Uzima Springs Pool menu and it looks like there's a lot of overlap with the choices served at The Mara for lunch/dinner... can anyone who's been to both say if the food quality is the same at the Pool bar? I haven't been to either, have heard great things about Mara - but having a QS dining plan, I'm thinking if I can get a better (mixed/frozen) drink and the same food at the pool bar, I'll definitely eat there

The food for the pool bar comes from the Mara so it's the same. Plus, they have servers at the pool!

The burger is really good and so is the chicken flatbread. And I highly recommend the pina colava with a floater!

Well this is a bummer! The menu for Uzima was HUGE last week with lots of Mara options... and now it's down to 7 pretty generic items Food is gonna win out - so most likely we'll be at the Mara with boring alcohol lol - https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/animal-kingdom-lodge/uzima-springs-pool-bar/menus/pool-bar/

The Mara is not far from the pool bar and there are outdoor tables to sit at just outside the Mara. I would imagine you could bring your drink over from the pool bar, set up at one of those outdoor tables, then get your food from the Mara.

Yup, just cant get the better Mara drink options as part of our Quick Service credit though - trying to get good mixed/frozen drinks with our QS credits where we can

Ah, I see. I didn’t read close enough to realize the issue is maximizing your dining plan credits now that alcohol is an option. That certainly adds value to the pool bar options, but I agree that the better meal would be the more enjoyable way to use the credit.
