I recently made a verbal offer for 300 point through resale at OKW. I still have several questions regarded uy:

1)If my uy is February, am I correct in assuming my points will be given to me on the 1st of the month?
2)When would I have to bank my points if not used, September 30?
3)If I bank all points at the 8 month mark and later decide to use points before uy (within the four months), can I do that? Does it work the same way if I only bank a portion and not all the points???

Yes, your points will be accounted for on February 1 each year and could bank them thru September 30 each year.

Once banked, the points cannot be returned to their original Use Year - but if you have already banked your current points and find you want to make a reservation for dates prior to January 31 you can still do that by borrowing from the following Use Year. Just be sure you won't need to cancel because the borrowed points could not be banked and would need to be used by the end of January or they would expire.

If you have any current points not banked by the end of September each year, they will expire on January 31 unless used to make a reservation.

Yes. Your use year runs from February 1 - January 31.

Yes, that is correct.

Banking and borrowing are final transactions. So once you bank points, they cannot be returned to (used for a vacation that occurs in) their original use year. You could, however, borrow points from 2009 to use for that trip. But once borrowed, they must be used before 1/31/2009. And the points you banked must be used before the end of January, 2010. You cannot bank those same points again.

Does it work the same way if I only bank a portion and not all the points???
Kind of. Either way, you must use the points before the end of January or they expire and are lost to you.

However, if you use current use year points (instead of borrowing), you still have the option of banking your 2009 points if you don't need them all in your 2009 use year. With the previous scenario, you would now have banked points in your 2009 use year, and banked points cannot be banked again. You'd have to use them or lose them before the end of 2009 use year (January 31, 2010). Sounds a little confusing so if I didn't explain it properly, post again.

Good luck with the offer!

Just one point on this. Your points will already be in your account, they don't actually "deposit" on Feb 1. All points use is based on date of stay. So if you want to plan a trip for September 2009, your February 2009 points will already be available to book if you want to call at 11 months for your home resort. Just to illustrate this, I have an April use year. If I look at my account online, it shows points up to the April 2011 use year. There's no wait for the use year to start for points to be "given" to you.
