If we travel to WDW in August OR Nov/Dec is any one of these use years better than the others? Also can it affect resale cost?
June, July, or August

When we think about best UY, we look at when we travel most and are most likely to make a reservation. You list Aug-Dec. Then we look at any UY minus 4 months, so we could still have an option to bank points should a reservation need to be cancelled. Since your travel would be complete by Jan 1, possibly, you'd still want to be able to bank points (at least have the option, should a trip fall through). If you have a June UY, you can still bank points until the end of Jan. If you have an Aug UY, you can bank until the end of March. So I think your 'summer' month options would make sense - if you buy into the logic we used! Not sure if this helps and makes it worse! Just our opinion!

I doubt that UY will impact the cost of a resale contract - that rarely seems to be a factor, at least not that we've seen. Good luck with your purchase! Could be a really good time to buy.

July doesn’t exist. April, June & August though are good for your travel plans. Prices depends on the quantity of each UY contract for sale. Certain resort UY’s had more points sold therefore more contracts available for purchase.

thanks! I found (2) 100 pt GF resales totaling little over $34k, but Im still learning and unfortunately not ready to buy. I do like that their dues are lower than others.

The main time UY would be a big factor to consider (outside of deciding what UY would be best for when you currently travel which might not be when you travel 10 years from now making the initial UY a moot point a lot of the time) is when buying a 2nd (or 3rd or 10th) contract and you want UY to match so you wont have two memberships.

Not something that is a major factor to move the needle much on price for a resale contract, but if you are a say a BCV owner looking for another Sept UY (only 5% of total points) then it make take a while to find and you might be willing to pay more for it to get it.

understood- that’s why I was thrilled to find 2 GF resales with June UY. I say Aug, Nov\Dec because since taking our kids for their first time in 2015 we preferred nov/dec. But now that they are in 6th grade I can no longer take them out -besides spring break ( crowds AND heat not my fav) or christmas week ( CROWDS!!) wed have to go last week aug ( heat like no other but crowds way down)
