For any one that has done both which do you prefer? Would that wait in July be long to exchange an Orbitz voucher for tickets? Orbitz would be a little cheaper for the tickets I need with the 10% EBates rebate and if I wouldn't have to worry about losing our tickets. I like that UT sends you tickets, so that I don't have to stand in yet another line just to get in to a line.

I have not done Orbitz, but if the difference is minimal, I would op for UT. Less complicated.

I would also go with UT. Have you priced it with the Mousesavers newsletter discount as well?

I asked this last year and there is apparently a slight difference in the way the tickets are issued, handled, something. The Orbitz tickets can NOT be upgraded or changed in any way. If you need to add a day, nope sorry. Add ph, soppy. Wp&m, again no. I went with UT tickets last year &did add a day, price difference was around $10, so worked out for me because the added day was like $8+tax, verses the full ticket price. Also, I believe Orbitz are date specific and non-refundable, whereas if something bad were to happen to postpone your trip, UT tickets could be saved for a future date or returned. For me, the price difference would have to be huge.

I did so well with UT, I just bought from them again. I was able to link them into MDE and book FP+. I may also end up adding a day again. I did use mousesavers link.

With the Mouse Savers link the UT ticks would come up to $1936. Orbits is $1868 before the 10% rebate. I'll save an additional $186.80, making the final Orbitz price $1682.20

Well, I think this comes down to whatever you think works best for you! :) If you don't mind exchanging vouchers, then go with Orbitz. For me, the cheapest option isn't always the best option, and I'd go with UT. But not everyone works that way.

I think you really want Orbitz. Just my impression. Go for it!

FWIW, I just got an extra 15% off on my extra night by booking on Orbitz last night plus ebates. That was on top of the Disney discount. What burns me is I could save another $300 on my main resort, but that would involve canceling already made ressies done through a TA friend of mine. Even though I would love the deal, for me, the hassle and cheating my friend out of a booking (I booked with her just so she could get credit) isn't worth the savings.

So to each their own! Think of it this way - is the savings enough to justify the hassle?

I, too, am thinking about Orbitz. I have bought from UT and had good experience. I don't mind waiting inline to get the vouchers because I would pick the tickets up in march and use them for a future trip. So, I wouldn't be concerned with not being ablt to book FP plus. But the only thing that does concern me is that the tickets can not be upgraded. That could be a possibility. I wasn't going to get PH becaus we don't alway want/need them. But if we can't add it then I don't think I want to buy through orbitz.....also I posted a question about the tix yesterday and was told the date was only the date you wanted to pick up tickets. They can be used anytime just like any other Disney ticket.

Orbitz tickets can be upgraded. Just did it in October. That being said I will never use orbitz again. They batch the will call reservations. A certain percentage just seem to go missing. I spent 4+ hours on my daughters birthday trying to deal with our 'missing' tickets. Thankfully I had printed out my confirmation and Disney was awesome. Orbitz customer service was not helpful. Disney told me that they often have problems with orbitz tickets.

How awful for you! Yeah, saving money is great but being aggravated and wasting time on your vacation is a high price to pay for the discount. I think I will stick to UT.
