I have a Amex offer for UT I may use. I just want to make sure whatever ticket I buy can be bridged to an DVC gold AP still. I'm assuming at this point UT is issuing only post Feb 12 price increased tickets so it should be non complicated . Can anyone confirm I will be paying the difference between the UT ticket and cost of AP still ? Also, the largest savings ticket they have now is $42 off a 4 day MYW with 2 free days. With bridging will i retain that $42 discount? My Amex offer is $30 off a $150 purchase. My plan is to buy the ut ticket and i SHOUlD save $72. Am I missing anything??? Lol. Thanks for any help.

1. Yes.
2. Easy to tell. If your UT comes with an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2018 it's a current ticket.
3. Yup.
4. Yes. (I don't know if you are figuring tax in this, but that's still how bridging works.)

Any other discounts are between you and your credit card co.

I am not sure you can assume the ticket you get is a Post Feb ticket. Someone asked TP recently and they said they don't know until the ticket is bought. Otherwise, Robo is right. You'll know when you get it based on it's expiration date.

Thanks so much. @Robo , I didn't look well enough on the UT site and just found a 6 day hopper plus 1 free day that is $67 cheaper than gate price, so with my $30 Amex offer I should save almost $100 ?!

If that is their math worth noting it is often off
Not sure they've gotten all that updated since the price changes

Yes I was just coming back to post. Disney doesn't offer a 6 day hopper plus one free day so when I have this ticket bridged will they bridge it from the price of their 6 day or 7 day??

As far as Disney is concerned you have a 7 day ticket

Yup.
Undercover Tourist ALSO does not have a "6 day hopper plus one day free" ticket.
(Because it is DISNEY, itself, that issues the actual tickets to UT, etc.)

The "6 day hopper plus one day free" ticket actually IS just a "7 day hopper" sold at the price of a 6 day hopper.
(Which is not actually much of a savings, in itself.)

Thank you. That's the best discounted ticket I could find on their site then. $469.95 including tax. Disney's 7 day hopper is $516.53 so a $46.58 savings.

Make sure you know what price difference to pay when upgrading to AP. When we upgraded last week, I had to go to a second Guest Relations location before I got the correct price difference since our tickets were part of a package booked before the price increase. Somehow, the first CM wasn't giving my 7 day PH the correct current price. The second CM had to ask his manager first before getting it right (around $291+ including taxes).

Sounds like a plan!

Well...
The second CM was actually giving you "pixie dust."

The idea of getting the "current gate price" for tickets that were booked prior to the Feb. 12, 2017 price increase... is no longer correct procedure.

I don't know what price the first CM gave you, but if it was to give you the price of a 7-day PH BEFORE the current price increase...
THAT was the current correct procedure.
(Much as it pains me to say.)

She gave a price difference of $480 or so per adult ticket. It still didn't make any sense based on old vs new pricing, which is why I went to a different CM. Thank goodness for pixie dust then but I was under the impression that if I booked tickets as part of a MYW package that it would not matter if I purchased it before the price increase when upgrading to AP.

ETA: To be clear, old 7 day PH were $467.54 before tax. New price is $485.00 before tax. AP without water parks currently costs $779. No way in the world would old prices plus tax would equal $480 per adult ticket. So make sure you know the ball park of what is reasonable and what is not!

OP, if you didn't buy your tickets yet, sign up for the Mousesavers newsletter. When you get it on the 15th of the month, use the link provided in it to purchase your tickets for an even lower price.

I am a subscriber to Mousesavers. I want to use UT this time for the Amex offer. Thanks for the heads up though :)

They are one in the same. Mousesavers is the name of the Newsletter but UT is who puts it out

Could someone kindly email or PM me the link to the newsletter? I am planning to buy tickets this week and cannot wait for May 15th. Huge thanks!

Don't worry too much about it. The "extra savings" are very, very, very small.

:welcome: to the DISboards,
