FYI, on our last day before entering the parks (3/28) I exchanged our Undercover Tourist tickets for AP for free at Guest Services outside of the park entrance!

Also, we stayed at HRH and I used the AP rate to book hotel but they never asked me for my AP ticket and I completely forgot until now and they charged me the AP rate!

Excellent! May I ask what type of annual pass? We arrive tomorrow and plan on doing the same. I have a Power Pass from last year and DH has the UT ticket I was planning on upgrading for him.

It would be a seasonal pass.

Glad to hear this! I really debated between the B2G2 vs the B2G1 and ultimately went with the B2G1 since we only have 3 park days and it seems more reliable to upgrade for free.

It's rare for even repeat guests not to be asked to produce backup for the AP rate.

My understanding if you book and don't have one, likely will be charged rack rate.

Yes I know. I wasn't trying to get away with anything I just completely forgot when we checked out because we were anxious to get to the parks and my daughter was asking what park had early entry so I wasn't paying close attention and when I looked at the bill it didn't jog my memory because that was the rate I had booked.

Hi everyone, I love this board which answers all my questions! But I'm sort of confused on this particular topic. So if I buy a 3 day ticket, I can theoretically exchange it at the end of my three days for an annual pass?

Many thanks!

3 day ticket gate price is $294.99.

Seasonal annual pass is $284.99.

That is why the exchange is simple.

If you already know for sure you are going to purchase the annual pass, do it on your first day. There are some decent discounts with it.

the premier and preferred ap are the ones that allow the discounts on food, merch, etc.

all allow the room discounts.

So if I buy the 3-day park to park I can still exchange for a seasonal pass on last day? I want to enter the park during black out days. This wouldn't matter if I exchange on the last day right before I leave right? Many thanks @damo

Yes, you can upgrade a 3 day pass to an AP. If your original ticket is more expensive than the AP, they will refund you the difference. Usually in gift cards.

The UT 2+2 seems cheaper than the 2+1 is there a reason to go for the 3day instead of the four day if you are upgrading to seasonal passes?

We had 3 day tickets (purchased from Undercover Tourist, buy 2 days, get one free day) and upgraded to seasonal AP's. We were refunded $10 and change per ticket and the refund went to our credit card.

There are other reports of people being credited larger amounts and that amount going to a gift card. It may depend on the amount.
