USrentacar sale on Budget this weekend

Thanks Wayne its better than having a personal travel agent with you, same job just you find better deals!!! Do you think i should book the car now or are prices likely to drop? i should have booked it when we first booked the tampa buisness class flights.

We booked flights within a few days of each other so yes you should have booked back then, Ours has gone up £118 on only 19 nights(16 before cruise & 3 after) on a 2 dr full size, so yours must have gone up more than that.
At least you got the bargain flights:thumbsup2

oh forgot, will they go down in price? Can't see them rising in near future, but all depends on exchange rate, if the £ rises, car rental could drop, but not looking likely nearer we get. I think they will be at current prices for a few months now unless anything drastic happens.

Yeah those flights are superb if all goes to plan, we also got a good deal on royal pacific onsite at universal thanks to these boards, and i also think we did ok with disney 21 nights including dining plan and 21 day ultimate ticket for just under £3000 for 5 of us at Port Orleans, so basically under £30 each per day for accomodation food and park tickets. Just trying to figure out how much spends we are going to need now having never done dining plan before.

Was that my thread you got Universal deal from also, wow how much have I saved you since year?
Have you done a re-pricing to see what it would all cost you now? I did back in December, http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=29041877&postcount=4

We don't bother trying to work out spend, just put it all on credit card, it won't be much with 16 nights free DDP then 7 night cruise, just about all food is paid for and we don't buy much, not shoppers.

What do you mean how much you have saved me, we only intended having a 3 night break at butlins this year until you came up with these bargains now ive ended up spending about £7000 lol!!! only kidding m8 yeah you have been a great help, but there really have been some great deal sabout this year, even the onsite disney with free dining i think is really good value.

21st-30th, wasn't supposed to be going until August but AA had a sale on a couple of weeks ago, £322pp could not resist.:goodvibes

Great!

We are a day behind you :yay:

We haven't booked a car yet as we usually rely on Disney Transport onsite and taxis when we go offsite but we got a little fed up last trip with the taxi prices. On one trip to Premium Outlets from Downtown Disney the fare going was $9.70 and coming back $17.30 and there was no traffic congestion either way. I would expect a dollar or two difference but this was nearly double and it made me reluctant to get a taxi anywhere. so I am keeping an eye on your thread!

I know many do Florida without a car but I 100% hate Disney buses (not just Disney I hate buses anywhere) I also don't travel well in Taxis, I like to be in control, I am a very poor passenger.:goodvibes

I get my Left and Right mixed up so I am not even attempting to drive, DH drove on our first trip we just used the car to drive from Disney to Clearwater so he said he doesnt mind.

We will probably still take the Disney Buses because I don't think getting lost will make a happy holiday! We are thinking of buying Sat nav off Ebay before we go so we dont spend hours driving around in circles.

I must admit im really not looking forward to driving, but with the deals on the flights into Tampa im afraid it has to be done. Most people love driving in florida so hopefully it wont be to stressful!!

You could buy off Ebay or buy in Walmart, they are cheaper than renting now. Always sell it again if you only want it for the holiday.

I can't stress enough how much I enjoy driving there, its so much easier than here.

We have bought a sat nav pre loaded with american maps to make life easier, think my main worry is the drive from tampa up to florida when we arrive, we dont land until 10.30pm so by the time we have done customs and picked up hire car its gonna be getting on for midnight, a long day then a drive in an unfamiliar car and not knowing where im going. Im sure once we put the cases down in RPR it will all seem worth while!!

we land about 8:45pm but Tampa airport will be all new to me, it looks easy enough.

Its going to be a long day, we land at 10.30pm so take into account the time difference as we will still really be on uk time so thats 3.30 am then got to clear customs and get car, also we will have been up early to leave from midlands to get to heathrow for flights - i will be asleep for the first 2 days of the holiday lol!!

When we landed Xmas day we were on a Virgin flights so there for about 2:30pm, about 4pm at Hotel, we dropped luggage, karen had a quick shower and then into MK for evening, had meal stayed for fireworks then came out with crazy crowds, after midnight when i got to sleep, I had a sleep on plane but DMIL didn't and she is in her mid 70's. You stay awake no problem when you have to. We were all at rope drop next morning.

Im sure the excitement of being on holiday will kick in aswell tht tends to keep you awake!! hope we can find somewhere open for food on landing aswell, thats if the wife and kids are awake! I wish it was next week we were going instead of having to wait until August - lucky you got another trip before then, so any more planned for this year or just the two?

How long is your change in Atlanta? we have about 4 hours, intend to eat there, we land at 3pm take off 7:20pm will have a look in the Delta exec lounge, if nothing there will go find food somewhere in the airport. Then we don't need to bother in Florida, get some sleep.

We only have 2 hours 40 minutes hope it will be enough time for the change over but pretty sure wont be enough time to do a food stop.

We did last change in exactly 1 hour form landing to sat wiaiting for next plane, 2:40 would be plenty, especially if you landed early.

Time for bed now been up since 5:45am yesterday.
