We're going to be in Orlando for 1 day only - just to got to USO. 3 adults, 4 teens. Where is the best place to eat in US park?

Your best bet is to check the menus and decide: http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/unimenus.html You know what kind of food you and your party are looking for and how much you want to spend. Also if none of the restaurants in US suit you check out the ones on City Walk. :cool1:

I assume you mean Universal Studios Florida (USF), in which case the best place to eat is Lombard's Seafood Grille, especially for the fresh seafood, which is the priciest thing on the menu. Great ambiance, good food, and a spectacular dessert called the San Francisco Foggie (a brownie sundae).

If you prefer a pub-type atmosphere, Finnegan's is the other choice of sit-down restaurant.

If you go to Islands of Adventure, thenm the best pace by a wide margin is Mythos.

I agree on Lombard's Landing in Universal Studios. We always have a great meal there.

I don't like having a big meal when at the parks so we usually stop by Mels Diner have a burger and coke and were off again. When the kids eat to much they don't want to walk they say they are to full. So on the way to the hotel we stop at City Walk and DH ::MickeyMo has a big meal and the kids :wizard: princess: and I ::MinnieMo eat from the kids menu.

For cheap meals I'd recommend Louie's for pizza and Richters for hamburgers.

For nicer meals, Lombards or Finnegans.

Also, Louie's has a Starbucks, if you're so inclined.

Lombard's, if I recall correctly, usually closes well before the park closes.
Finnegan's is usually open until the park closes.

If it were me, I'd send the teens to Louie's or Mel's, and take the adults to Lombard's! Although I have to agree with another poster, Mythos at IOA is my favorite.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think we'll check out Louie's for lunch & w/ a little Starbuck's Frap to give me a kick for the rest of the day! I didn't realize we could go to CityWalk for free (thanks Disboarders), so we're going to go to Margaritaville fordinner. Surprisingly, my 13 yo daughter is a Jimmy Buffett fan!

Is there a "shortcut" from US to Citywalk?

There is a shortcut to Citywalk that takes you right to Hard Rock Cafe. Unfortunately, it puts out on the opposite side of the water from Margaritaville. It's probably just as easy to get to Margaritaville just by using the regular exit at Universal Studios.
