Now that I am a Loews Platinum card holder, can anyone please explain to me how I would go about getting that "free" suite they say I'm entitled to. Do I book the cheapest room and then have them book me a suite? Also, what suite are they talking about-the kids suite, Portifino suite, villa suite? Anyone know? Is it worth pursuing or should I just try to get a room at the entertainment rate? Any info would be helpful.

If you book a garden view room at PBH under either the Loews best rate or an AAA rate they will give you a connecting portofino parlor for free if one is available. At HRH they will upgrade your garden room to a king suite and at RPR they will upgrade your standard room to a king suite.

I booked a garden view room for $284/night at the PBH which they upgraded to a Portifino suite(parlor). I was wondering if I'd choose to do the RPR instead, would a King suite fit 5 people? Anyone have experience with both suites? Which is nicer/more spacious-Portifino suite or the suite at the RP? Thanks in advance!

I have not stayed at Portofino but do know that their suites are larger than the RPR suites. The RPR king suite will only have a king bed & a pull out sofa. The room is 670 sq. ft. The PBH suite will have 2 queen beds or 1 king (whichever you booked), plus a pull out sofa. Also, I am under the impression that the PBH suites have 2 bathrooms...can anyone confirm this??? HTH! :D

Even though the HRH deluxe room is smaller than the king suite, it is available with two queens and a pullout sofa which is better for our family of 5. :grouphug: Deluxe room is an available upgrade with a Loews Gold or Platinum card.

Just a thought

My family of 4 have stayed in both. Stay with Portofino!! The King Suite at RPR is small with one king bed in a small seperate bedroom and one pull out sofa that is not comfortable located in a second area (room) all in all total space is really cramped for 4. Portofino will have 2 baths and LOTS more space. I guess you will have to get a roll away?

I've stayed in most of the 3 resorts suite types and also think you should stay with PB. The King Suite at RP is nice, but cozy with 4. With the Portofino Suite (we were in one in Dec.) you will also get another large BR!!!!

Definitely go with PBH. If you belong to AAA you can probably get a lower rate than $284. I will be at PBH 2/4-2/6 and have a garden view and the portofino parlor for $211.20 with the AAA discount.
