Using webcertificate to "purchase" Disney Gift Card

Has anyone ever tried to do this through Disneyshopping? I tried a week or so ago to purchase a $25 Disney Gift Card on Disneyshopping and had a problem. They would not accept my "account" and I was then charged a $1 fee from Disney shopping, which was later reversed. I put the information in under "credit card," including expiration date, code, etc. I was going to try it again but figured I would find out first if anyone has tried it and has been successful!!

I've done it many times. I'm guessing that the 1.00 was an inquiry fee- it just tests the card to make sure it is a vaild number.It is usually reversed after a day or so.Maybe webcertificates server was off line or it was just a glitch. Were you ordering more than you had on your webcertificate? Because i know that you cant combine a webbie with another form of payment. I just did it 2 days ago, and mine went through. I'd advise you to try again and see what happens.

Happened to me again. Called webcertificates and Sam helped me out. It was the $1 inquiry fee. He put an extra $1 in my account so it would go through, and it did!!

Thanks for the info! I just got a webcertificate from them as well and heard a rumor that you needed to have an extra dollar in there to use it but I wasn't sure if that was valid. I will make sure I have that added to my account before I try to purchase it.

I'm getting ready to cash out my webcertificate. . . as soon as MyPoints sends my other $75.

What happens is that they send a charge for $1 to make sure the card it "good", and it sits as a pending charge that never processes and eventually gets reversed. . . but it ties up that dollar so that when you go to order a $25 card, it gets rejected because there's only $24 available until that pending charge is gone.
