Using WDW maps as background paper

Has anyone used their WDW maps as backing paper in their scrapbooks? I thought it would look great but it might be a problem if its not acid/ligin free ... right?

has anyone done cool things with their WDW maps?

I haven't considered using it for the whole background, because of the concerns you mentioned. BUT-I would cut one apart and use pieces. I would like to get some archival spray to try to preserve everything a little better, and buffer paper (if you wanted to use it for background you could mat EVERYTHING) on the surrounding pictures.

You can also scan it and then print it out on acid free/archival paper.

I have used is as background paper, and cut it out as embellishments too.

when used as a background paper, I always matt my pics with acid free paper as a buffer.

Cool idea...DH owns a frame business..maybe I'll do that for our Disney themed family room.

Well, my DH owns owns a frame shop & he does what is called "dry mounting" (I think that's it). When he's finished...there are no creases or folds.

I tried to do that with MK map but since it was folded it never looked right in the frame. Where you able to get one that was not folded?
