Using Uber/Uber Family to go between resorts

Hi all,

I have used Uber in Baltimore and DC, but never in Disney. We are staying at the Caribbean Beach with my 2 1/2 year old son, and are thinking about using Uber twice during our trip - once to get to dinner at the Contemporary and a second time to get to the Beach Club. With a toddler, it just seems easier than multiple bus/monorail transfers. Couple of questions:

1. How long does an Uber generally take once you've made the request in Disney?

2. Will they pick me up right at my "village" in the Caribbean Beach, or will I need to walk to the Customs House or Old Port Royale?

3. Is Uber Family (the one with car seats) at Disney yet? Will needing a carseat make #1 a much longer wait?

Thanks so much!

Must say - after our recent Michigan UBER driver MURDER case?

......ehhhhhhhh - I believe my wife and I will take real CABS.......:). Yup, costs more. Nope, no, (or fewer) murders....

We used uber for the first time this trip and loved it to go from resort to resort. It was so easy and convenient to use. I was a little worried about how long the wait would be but I never waited more than 5 mins. I will be using it on our next trip since it was so easy and saved a bunch of money.

UBER was awesome for all WDW transit - on or off property. Inexpensive and efficient.

The only minor annoyance was ending up at the TTC instead of MK - but that's true for cabs also.
