Hey everyone!

My family and I are going to go to the Poly on New Years Eve and we are eating at Kona.

I saw on my TIW card that it's blocked out so we'll pay in full for the meal but would we still be able to use the free valet???

We are AP holders so we can always park at MK and take the shuttle to TTC and walk from there but I figured if anyone has done the free valet during a block-out time and knew/not, that would be great!

Thanks!

Based on several years' experience of trying multiple times and being denied, whenever Tables in Wonderland is blacked out for dining discounts, the free valet parking is blacked out as well.

Before the scolds get all spun up, I only tried multiple times because there was no written policy I could find, and as anyone who interacts with the Disney megalith knows, cast members contradict one another frequently. On the occasions (probably four in all) when I couldn't get free valet parking, I used it anyway and paid without complaint.

Since for the free valet parking you are supposed to be able to show your dining receipt when you pick up the car, there will be no indication on your receipt that you used the TiW card for dining and will not be eligible for the free parking.

Thanks! That's what I thought so I guess we'll try our luck at regular parking and either pay in full for Valet or go over to the TTC and park there.

Thanks for the responses!

Using the Tables in Wonderland discount on the meal itself is not a requirement for getting free valet parking. I've been to many non-discount-qualifying events at various resort restaurants and never been denied the free valet parking. So long as I have a paid tab from some eligible bar or restaurant at the property where I'm parking, I qualify. I've presented the card and receipt, and that's it.

1) In this case, yes.
2) Valet parking is run buy a vendor (outsourced).
3) They are not WDW employees.
4) Thus, when it comes to fees, they don't let you escape.
5) So, during a blackout, you will pay for valet parking.

Just a thought -aSelf Parking at the Poly is not that far of a walk if you can find a space. No need to park somewhere else and transfer there.

Ya we usually do that but when we went on July 3rd we could not find a spot to park in self parking so after driving around for 10 mins we decided to do Valet since we were using my TIW card anyways. We'll try for self parking first but might have to go to MK to park instead. Our ressie is at 9:15pm (fireworks are at 11:45pm) and my flight lands at 8pm.
