Using TIW at resort food courts

I see from the list of participating restaurants that most of the resort QS (food courts) locations are indcluded as well with the TS locations. Has anyone used it for these places, & are there and restrictions?

I'm trying to add the approximate cost of our meals up for our upcoming trips to see if purchasing the TIW membership would be worth it. DH says we would have to spend almost $400 in food to even come out even on the $75 cost.

TIA

If your resort has a TS restaurant, then the TiW card is not valid in the resort CS.

So POP, All Stars, and POFQ all participate

Also CS in AK ..

The break even point is $375

So it depends on so many things. How many people in your party, how many meals, estimated cost, do you drink? alcohol is included in the discounts. Will you be able to get more than one trip out of the card?

Good luck!

Well, the above is in general true, however, the list of CS that accept TIW includes the food court at SSR and three CS at the Animal Kingdom Park (the Yak & Yeti CS doesn't take it). These places did not have a TS restaurant but later added them. The CS were never taken off the TIW list, though, and the card is still accepted there.

So it's really not most of the resort CS locations. It's only six resorts (the four value food courts, SSR and POFQ).

It's supposed to be for food and beverage items only, so the discount may not be taken on a refillable mug. There have been some reports of the discount being taken on a mug, though.

Staying at POP in Jan, so I guess generally referring to their food court. So any food or drink item, weather as small as a snack or a big as a full meal is included then? That's ok on refillable mug though as I wouldn't expect a discount on that.

We also have a trip the week after Thanksgiving, but staying off site. I have already added up those and the TS ADR's for Jan as well, so now just need to average out POP food court cost. I'm hoping to talk DH into another trip before AP & TIW expire but that is not gauranteed.

Thanks everyone for your fast responses :thumbsup2

Yes, you will be able to use it there on any food or drink you can put in your mouth! It's fun to see all the "money saved" on the receipts.

Also, while POR is not listed as accepting the card, I've used mine there on more than one visit. I just hand the card over and hope for the best. No one has denied me yet.
