Using tickets from package a day early

My DSis and her family (2 adults & 2 children) decided to join us for our trip in November, but we get there a day earlier then them and they are staying a day later. We are staying on points at the Poly and they are staying at CBR with FD. We are flying and they are driving as after WDW they are visiting her husbands family in Miami. Now that you have the background, my DSis asked what would be the implications if my 2 DNephews flew down with us? I actually like the idea of spending some extra quality time with my 2 favorite little men but we want to go to MK when we arrive. Since the boys are technically on DSis's package with tickets would we be able to use their park tickets a day earlier than their check-in? I know they can't get use their meals until my sister checks in the next day.

I would guess the answer is No, altho I've never read this question here before. The named reservation holder (adult) does the ticket pick-up in person at Guest Relations at one of the parks (or DTD). In addition to the Disney CM asking the guest for reservation info, the guest would also have to present photo ID. As you are not listed on your DSis's reservation, I don't think Disney would release the tickets.

If you wanted to be added to DSis's reservation to facilitate early ticket pick-up, you would have to buy park tickets on her reservation – same number of park days as DSis & family. This is a stipulation of booking the FD package. There's also consideration about max people in a room, depending on room type selected, and third adult in room charge ($15/nite Moderate resort).

POOHsie, that was exactly what I was thinking and would have have been my follow up question if not addressed. Since it is a party night my options are finding something else to do, getting them 1 day tickets or something which just dawned on me which is getting party tickets. It may end up being a party night.

I did a little quick research so please disregard my earlier post( which I have deleted) IT appears that tickets must be picked up and activated before they can be used. You can do this up to three days I advance of checkin, but must be done by an adult on the reservation. Sorry for the bad news

That is a great idea! Depending on your Party date (and day of the week), I would consider getting the Party tickets in advance (in case of sell-out). Party ticket holders can enter MK at 4pm without a regular park ticket.

Early package ticket pickup has some ID and reservation safeguards because Disney Resorts want to keep their guest ticket purchases secure. Magic Your Way tickets are active already when purchased, which makes them a cinch to use if stolen or acquired thru fraud.
