Good Monday morning, buds!
Was just wondering if you use anything from your landscape to decorate your house with for the holidays? When we lived in Maryland I used to clip holly branches filled with red berries to use indoors. One year I wrapped our porch banister with pine garland that I collected from some trees in the woods. My mother and father collected a bunch of smallish pinecones one year and my mother used them to make a gorgeous pinecone wreath (took ages to make it!)
Lots of yards in our neighborhood are sporting some huge poinsettia shrubs. There is one around the corner that has a gorgeous white "flower". Maybe I'll sneak over with my camera to get a picture of it for you!
Our Florida yard doesn't have any Christmas-y looking greenery that I can use to decorate with. I might buy some holiday colored flowers and clip some ginger leaves to use as an accent.
