Good Monday morning, buds!

Was just wondering if you use anything from your landscape to decorate your house with for the holidays? When we lived in Maryland I used to clip holly branches filled with red berries to use indoors. One year I wrapped our porch banister with pine garland that I collected from some trees in the woods. My mother and father collected a bunch of smallish pinecones one year and my mother used them to make a gorgeous pinecone wreath (took ages to make it!) :)

Lots of yards in our neighborhood are sporting some huge poinsettia shrubs. There is one around the corner that has a gorgeous white "flower". Maybe I'll sneak over with my camera to get a picture of it for you!

Our Florida yard doesn't have any Christmas-y looking greenery that I can use to decorate with. I might buy some holiday colored flowers and clip some ginger leaves to use as an accent.

Yes, I do alot of what you have done. I trim Christmas wreaths with pinecones, holly, eucalyptus, and tons of dried flowers from the yard.

I also make a centerpiece for my dining room table using evergreens as the base and hot gluing all kinds of flowers, holly, etc., etc. to it.

When my Uncle brings holly (he has a gorgeous holly bus - miles high and wide), I put sprigs in vases all over the house mixed with other evergreens!

It's my favorite way to bring some green indoors!

Wow, you guys are very talented! Can I place an order? :)

I don't think I've ever seen a poinsettia shrub TigH, they must be beautiful!

There isn't a lot in my yard that I could use, without leaving bare spots. Perhaps I could pilfer a few nature items from my neighbours! Under cover of darkness of course.... ;) :) Better yet, I'll get DH to do it!!

When we were in California a supermarket was selling tiny little pointsettas for $1.00 and some guy bought one for all the "girls." I put mine in the ground and by the following Christmas it was four feet high and beautiful. This might well work in Florida TigH.
