I'm working on our Itinerary for our July 1st trip now, so that come
April 2nd, I can call and make all of our dining reservations.

I'm using the Touring Plans in the back of the book Unofficial Guide to WDW 2009. I'm also following their recommendations for which park to see
first, second, etc.

We have friends who used these plans and said they worked great ~ and they're very organized, with-it kind of people!

Anyone use these plans ~ what did you think?

Input appreciated! ;)

I have used the touringplans to our great advantage.
Do you have the 2009 book? If so you get a free membership to the website. The DHS plans have significantly changed from the book. Also the recommended park days on the website are not possible to include in the book. I highly recommend using that resource as well.

Used on last four trips. Really makes a difference. We were in line for the Jungle Safari one early afternoon after the first UOG purchase and implementation at MK reviewing the attractions we had already made and the young couple behind asked " you did all that today?" It was then that I knew the book had earned its cost. Now I re-up every trip we make. I pretty much memorize the itinerary before each day, but I do carry it with me. I just ask the DW and DKds to follow me and we'll see all we can see. We've done more in four days that by day five it's to the water park of choice and day six is OK so what did we miss that we gotta see. So in six days we seem to get as much WDW in as possible. We've even done it when the kids were as young as 4. Also, we usually take two or three afternoons back at the room for a pool break refresher. It works if you wanna work it, and it ain't work if your havin' fun. I'm just a WDW nut:rotfl:

I haven't used it yet. This will be my first wdw vacation w/ any sort of plan so I'm excited/anxious to see how it works out. The UG gets rave reviews though so I have my fingers crossed. GL!

We used it our first trip and will definitely be using it again. The subscription to the website is an added bonus (and I think free if you buy the book). I followed their crowd predictations and they were right on. I don't go completely by their touring plans, but I make my own based on their suggestions (and modify for ADRs and rest periods for my family).

Just a question would it be better to buy both the book and get the free subscription or should I just buy the subscription for the web sight what would be better?

The website is $8.95. The book is excellent, but obviously costs more. If you want a book on WDW, I would buy that one. I didnt buy a 2009 book (I have a 2008 one) so I paid for just the website. At some point I may want another book, but I dont feel that I need one every year. Some people may want one.
